Aquaculture Consultants

Commercial aquaculture is an industry that requires a certain level of knowledge to be successful.  New entrants to the industry generally do not have this level of knowledge initially so by using a consultant you can save yourself a lot of time and wasted money.  There are a vast number of reasons to use consultants but the three most commonly used consultants by the aquaculture industry are:

• Initial farm design and licensing consultants.  These are consultants that help you get started, help you get past all the rules, regulations and obstacles the government has in place for those attempting to enter the aquaculture industry.  They design your farm to meet all governmental regulations, creating a “state of the art” facility utilising “best aquaculture practice” and they get you all the licences and permits you need to build your aquaculture farm.
• Equipment consultants.  These are equipment designers and manufacturer that can assist with designing recirculation systems for example.  Make no mistake, good design and good equipment will make the difference between an easy aquaculture operation running smoothly or a nightmare.
• Health and disease consultants.  These are consultants on disease or health of your fish, you can’t be expected to know everything so it’s easier to hire someone to help and guide you.
